Its staggering that a place like Singapore doesnt have a bicycle commuting culture. Why? Who knows....You singaporeans all complain about crowded MRTs and traffic jams on the road and yet frown at bicycles and think only 'foreign workers'ride them (whatever that xenophobic phrase means). Singaporeans..go and see the rest of the developed world and you will see people from all walks of life cycling for shopping, work, pleasure, school. Go see Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands etc. Prosperity and car use dont go hand in hand. Singapore has such strict laws, with the exception of Bike theft.
